I want to connect my PS3 (which will be hoked to my TV via HDMI) and my cable box (which is also HDMI connected) to my home theater system. The only inpuut the reciever of the home theater system has is a stereo audio input.

I don’t want to burn in an image…is it possible?

The tv I have has a “game” option to set the picture…but I am afraid some games could make a permanent burn.

I have a Sony crt hdtv from 2004, with one dvi input and two component inputs. I do not have it hooked up to a stereo receiver, all audio goes through the tv.

Currently I have two devices demanding the components (game consoles), and my dish receiver taking the dvi, using an hdmi to dvi cord and a left/right audio cable.

Enter a new device, the ps3. The ps3 can be attached via component or hdmi, but as you can see I’ve run out of space. I would love suggestions as to the best way of getting all my devices to work together.

like to see if it is plausable to hookup a ps3,instead of buying a home theater in a box,as to recieve a sattelite signal and watch dvd’s. I don’t listen to the stereo radio on my home theater . I have a 5.1 setup in speakers already so why buy a reciever I don’t need..whats your opion?

How do i hook up so that my ps3 is getting both hd and surround sound even though my receiver on my surround sound system does not have optical audio slot although my tv does. Can i still get surround without that optical audio slot? and if i can how?

My TV has 3 HDMI ports and an optical port out. Both the PS3 and Black 360 have a HDMI port as well as an optical cable out. However my receiver on my home theater system only has 2 HDMI ports in and 1 HDMI port out (no optical ports whatsoever). So how would I correctly hook this up so that I can get full surround sound audio, or do I need to purchase some additional equipment?

i have a panasonic home theater system with only one pair of audio jacks and an hdmi port how can connect my ps3 to it and my cable box to use them through the system without having to go in the back and switch the cables? is it possible to just buy an hdmi and connect my ps3 to the system and then use audio cables to connect my cable box to the system? right now i do not have an hdmi cable so is there any other way to do it?

I’m looking for a HTIB system that will work well with my PS3. I’d also like it to be able to connect to a Wii and my Sony HD TV. I don’t need an additional DVD player. Wireless speakers would be nice though. Any suggestions?
